Sgraffito workshop hosted by Charlie of Murtle and Thyme - with coffee and cake from Tide and Earth.

Sgraffito is the art of scratching through a slip or underglaze on green ware (unfired pottery) to reveal the surface underneath creating your design in the contrast of the two. 

Each attendee will be decorating a plate or pair of trinket trays, painted in a black underglaze, ready for carving.

The workshop is inclusive of all materials and firing. Charlie will bring a selection of glaze swatches so each person can choose a colour for their coasters to be finished in. 

Collection will be from Tide and Earth in around a month/6 weeks and I will let everyone know once they are out of the kiln.
